The Brandungskiekersymptom

The Brandungskiekersymptom became known with the Brandungskieker weblog going live. During a period where the weblog has been highly frequented because of those popular personality questionaires, the comments function of Brandungskieker has been used very often. Soon the visitors have been pissed off because jumping between the input comment fields wasn’t possible using the tabulator key. Instead of jumping to the name input field from the comment field, the cursor has been focused on the searchbox on top of the page. Although the weblog provides high quality content (unfortunately in German) which deserves and requires discussions, the visitors simply couldn’t be arsed to do use the comments. Being frustrated and giving up entering comments because they were not willing to use the mouse (who on earth is?), not stated comments for high quality blog content because of tab-issues became known as BKS = Brandungskiekersymptom.

As a reaction the two seamen from the northern part of Germany sold this as a feature to YouTube and made a fortune with it. YouTube uses the feature to drive users crazy since they don’t give flyin’ f**k about what makes sense or not as long as it can be sold to Google. Since then, not only the YouTube founders, but also the two seamen at Brandungskieker lived happily ever after and had fun making videos about their wealth. Of course, they uploaded them to Dailymotion and named them like the new Simpsons episodes. You can still find them there. Currently Brandungskieker is working on a webpage-built in webcam to directly record their visitors going crazy when using the comments function. Did I mention they lived happily ever after?
